How to Apply for the Lottery
Submit a lottery application:
Parents of Kindergartners or Any Grade New To PPS:
1. Create a ParentVUE account
2. Submit a lottery application
2. Please wait until after you receive your lottery result in May before completing the online Registration for your child. (Also via ParentVue)

Lottery Timeframes:
The Middle School lottery for the 2026-2027 school year is closed.
The Kinder - 5th grade lottery opens on Feb 18th, 2026 and closes on March 18th, 2026. Please see the PPS Enrollment & Transfer website.
The 26-27 K-5th Lottery is Open from February 18th to March 18th, 2026. Please apply through the PPS Enrollment and Transfer Center.
The 26-27 Middle School Lottery is closed. Please refer to your ParentVue account.
We held our K-5 Information Session on February 11th, 2026. All of the information presented is also available on this website.
We are an active school and do not provide individual tours. When lottery results are announced in late spring, our Odyssey Office will reach out to families with opportunities to get connected.

Attending a school outside your neighborhood:
PPS offers a petition process for students who wish to attend a school outside their neighborhood. Learn more. PPS also holds a lottery every February/March for the following school year for schools/programs accessed via lottery. Learn more.

Meeting all students needs
- Register at your neighborhood school. If language assistance is needed, register at a Welcome Center (Link) in August. Centers also assess students English language level.
- PPS encourages families with concerns about their child's development under age 5 to get an assessment for special education services. Call the Multnomah Early Childhood Program, 503-261-5535, for a referral to the PPS Early Childhood Evaluation Team. Contact the PPS Team directly if you have questions: 503-916-3426. (English/Spanish).
- Families concerned about their school-age child's academic, motor, self-help, communication or social-emotional skills should talk to their child's teacher about an assessment for services. If you have questions, contact your principal.
- Students K-12 are first nominated by their teacher or parent/guardian and then assessed by PPS. If the student meets the criteria, he or she is selected to participate in the program.
